Logistics parks across Central Europe run three shifts the local market stopped supplying years ago, and the Philippines has staffed the Gulf's and Asia's distribution centres for two decades. These guides are organised by operation — distribution centre, e-commerce fulfilment, material handling, peak season, warehouse ramp-up, network-scale planning — and link to the profession guides (warehouse workers, forklift drivers, truck drivers) and the country guides. Professional drivers have their own page and are not duplicated here.
Operational guides for logistics operators, retailers and 3PLs — recruitment process, distribution centre workforce, e-commerce fulfilment, material handling, peak season, warehouse ramp-up, large-scale network planning — each answering how to staff the operation and which countries sponsor warehouse roles. Drivers: see the profession page.
Central Europe's logistics parks — around Prague, Brno, Bratislava, Łódź, Poznań, Budapest, Vilnius, Zagreb — run three shifts for retail, e-commerce and automotive sequencing, and the local market stopped supplying night shifts years ago. Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania and Croatia sponsor warehouse operatives and forklift drivers on national permits; the Gulf's ports and free zones sponsor the full mix. Germany admits qualified logistics roles and professional drivers but not unskilled warehouse labour; Flanders excluded warehouse workers from economic migration in 2026 and the Netherlands' UWV test blocks them. In September 2026 our Makati operation recruited about 75 warehouse staff and 117 truck drivers among 629 positions for 25 employers.
Logistics is four operations with different workforces: warehousing (receiving, put-away, storage), distribution (picking, packing, loading for retail and B2B), fulfilment (e-commerce pick-pack at item level, returns, peaks) and transport (drivers, dispatch, yard). These guides follow that structure — distribution centre, fulfilment, material handling, peak season, ramp-up, large-scale planning — and send drivers to their own page.
Which roles can come depends on the country. Central Europe, Croatia and the Gulf sponsor warehouse operatives; Germany sponsors qualified logistics roles and drivers only; Flanders and the Netherlands do not admit warehouse workers; Australia only under a DAMA. Every guide states the line for its roles.
