Hiring in the Czech Republic?

Our Czech market is handled locally by our EU delivery entity, Orienta Czech. The dedicated Czech site covers the complete national process — Employee Card, the Qualified Employee Programme, references from Czech plants — with Czech-language support.

How recruitment works

Every Czech project runs on the same backbone: you define the roles, headcount and start date; our own DMW-licensed agency in Manila, Prime Search, sources and trade-tests candidates; you approve the shortlist (on-site or online); and we manage the Czech permit process under your power of attorney while the Philippine side — contract verification, medical, pre-departure orientation and the Overseas Employment Certificate — runs in parallel. The employment contract is signed and verified before departure; your new employee lands, completes local onboarding and clocks in.

The Czech specifics below are the part that makes Czech Republic different from every other market we serve.

Licensing: Our own licences at both ends of this route — Prime Search (DMW) in Manila and Orienta Czech (Czech Ministry of Labour) in the Czech Republic.

Czech immigration and work-permit route

Employee Card (zaměstnanecká karta) · Qualified Employee Programme. The Employee Card combines residence and work in one permit, valid up to two years and renewable. Through the government's Qualified Employee Programme, guaranteed by bodies such as the Chamber of Commerce, employers get reserved appointment capacity at the Czech Embassy in Manila — the route we have run at scale since our first Filipino placements.

  1. Employer registers the vacancy with the Labour Office and enters the Qualified Employee Programme via a guarantor.
  2. Embassy appointment in Manila reserved under the programme; Employee Card application filed.
  3. Decision by the Ministry of the Interior; entry visa; biometrics and card in the Czech Republic.

Labour-market test: Vacancies must be reported to the Labour Office and remain open for the statutory period.

Shortage occupations: No shortage list; the programme's capacity allocation is the effective gate.

Authorities involved: Ministry of the Interior · Labour Office · Czech Embassy Manila. Rules change; we confirm the current position for your role before you commit, and we tell you the honest number — not the marketing one.

Employer requirements

  • Employer eligible for the Qualified Employee Programme (compliance history, no arrears).
  • Employment contract meeting the statutory minimum wage and the Employee Card requirements.
  • Accommodation registered with the authorities.

DMW / MWO process on the Philippine side

Deploying a Filipino worker abroad is regulated by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). The MWO with jurisdiction for the Czech Republic verifies employers and contracts; we run this step routinely. The verified contract, together with the job order approved by the DMW, allows the worker to obtain the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) — the exit clearance without which no Filipino worker can legally leave for a job abroad. Pre-employment orientation, medical examination at a DOH-accredited medical clinic authorised to examine overseas Filipino workers and pre-departure orientation complete the sequence. Because we operate the licensed agency ourselves, this runs in parallel with the Czech permit rather than after it.

Timeline

Typical gate-to-gate time for Czech Republic is 3–5 months, first arrivals typically within 120 days from signed engagement to the first arrival, driven mainly by the Czech permit and the embassy appointment in Manila. Sourcing and trade testing usually take two to four weeks and are not on the critical path. We give you a written timeline for your specific role before you commit.

Costs and commercial model

Our contractual partner is the employer, and it is the employer we invoice for the service. You receive an individual offer for Czech Republic covering sourcing, trade testing, documentation, the permit process and arrival support — there is no price list, because volumes, roles and the Czech route differ from project to project. Direct employment means the worker's wage is paid by you under your Czech contract; there is no intermediary employer.

What a typical Czech Republic project looks like

A Czech employer briefs us on roles and headcount. Within two to four weeks we present trade-tested candidates from Manila with video assessments; the employer interviews online and approves. We file the employee card under power of attorney while Prime Search completes the DMW documentation. The employment contracts are signed and MWO-verified before departure; on arrival the workers complete registration and local onboarding and start on the floor — with our team reachable for the first months of integration. Whether the project is one specialist or a full shift, the mechanics are identical.
