Filipino steel fabricators for international employers

Fabricators who can read a drawing, cut, fit and tack to tolerance are the backbone of every steel shop and shipyard. Filipino fabricators typically combine fitting with welding capability, which makes them flexible on the floor.

Skills and certifications

  • Structural and plate fabrication; fit-up, marking, cutting, tacking
  • Sheet metal; press brake, shears, rollers
  • Reading fabrication drawings and cut lists
  • TESDA-certified, frequently with welding NC II as a second skill

Skills are verified through trade testing and through Prime Search's partnerships with schools, training centres and TESDA, the Philippine Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

How we test steel fabricators

Fit-up test from drawing, tolerance check, plus welding test if required. You approve the shortlist yourself — in Manila with our team, or online with recorded assessments.

Where we deliver

We place steel fabricators with employers across the EU, the UK, Norway, the Gulf, Australia and New Zealand. The permit route and timeline depend on the destination — see the country guides for the process in your market, or tell us the destination and we confirm feasibility before you commit.

How the process works

  1. You brief us: number of steel fabricators, process mix or specialisation, start date, destination.
  2. Prime Search sources and trade-tests candidates in Manila; you receive profiles with test results.
  3. You interview and approve — on-site or online.
  4. We coordinate the destination permit — under your power of attorney where the law allows it — or through a licensed immigration adviser where the destination regulates immigration advice (Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom) — and run the DMW/MWO documentation in parallel.
  5. Arrival, local onboarding and registration, integration support — the employment contract with you as direct employer is signed and verified before departure.
