Restaurants and the Filipino crew

Dubai's F&B scene runs on turnover — new concepts, new units, new malls — and on a workforce that speaks to guests in English and works a split shift without drama. Filipino service staff are that workforce; the TESDA Food and Beverage Services NC II pathway, hotel-school programmes and years of QSR and casual-dining experience across the Gulf and Asia produce crews that know sequence of service, POS and upselling on day one.

Dubai recorded 19.59 million international overnight visitors in 2025, its third record year in a row, with 154,264 hotel rooms across 827 establishments running at 80.7 % occupancy and 44.85 million occupied room nights. December alone brought 2.04 million visitors — the first month above two million.

How we test restaurant staff

A table-service scenario in English at Prime Search's facilities in Makati — greeting, order-taking with an upsell, a complaint, the bill — for front-of-house; a coffee test for baristas; a line test for kitchen crew. Cashiers are screened for numeracy and POS familiarity. You watch live at ten in the morning Dubai time and interview the same day, or decide from recordings.

Multi-unit operators recruit unit by unit against opening dates, under one MWO accreditation. Everything here is subject to applicable UAE MoHRE or free-zone, licensing, attestation and visa requirements.

The UAE side

On the UAE side, your company is the sponsor: a signed job offer, MoHRE work-permit approval (or the free-zone equivalent), an entry permit valid sixty days, then medical, Emirates ID biometrics, contract registration and the residence visa — typically two to four weeks once documents are complete. Roles are classified by MoHRE skill level; levels 1–2 require an attested degree, levels 3–4 a diploma. Our UAE company, licensed for HR consultancy in Dubai, advises on classification, attestation and Emiratisation standing and coordinates the sequence with your PRO — it does not place or supply workers, and the employment relationship is yours.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you fill a whole new unit?

Yes — a crew of ten to twenty-five across front-of-house and kitchen in one round, six to ten weeks to arrival.

  • Do waiters need a diploma?

Service roles are MoHRE skill level 5 and need an attested secondary-school certificate; supervisors and managers at level 3–4 need diplomas or degrees. We attest in Manila.

  • Are your candidates already in the UAE?

We recruit from the Philippines; workers already in the UAE on another sponsor's visa follow a different route.
