This is the welding-specific quality layer — not general manufacturing QC, which has its own profession page. Welders are only as good as the inspection and administration behind them, and the Philippines exports both: CSWIP and AWS CWI holders from Gulf projects, NDT Level II technicians, welding coordinators who keep WPS, PQR and WPQ records audit-ready, supervisors who have run a hundred-welder shift. These are qualified roles every country sponsors.
Gulf EPC and fabrication contractors run their QC departments on Filipino inspectors — CSWIP 3.1 and 3.2, AWS CWI, API where relevant — and their NDT on Filipino Level II technicians; the documentation is in English and to international codes. Supervisors and foremen who have run mixed-nationality welding shifts on shutdowns and yards are the layer that makes a Filipino welding crew productive in week one in Europe.
Certificates are verified with the issuing bodies (TWI/CSWIP, AWS, NDT certifiers) and project records checked. Inspectors inspect a prepared sample set and write a report to your format; NDT technicians run a practical on test pieces; supervisors are interviewed on planning, WPS control, repair-rate management and toolbox discipline; documentation controllers on traceability and handover packs.
Welders are qualified trades, and almost every country we serve sponsors them: Australia (Welder (First Class) and Metal Fabricator on the Core Skills list, TRA skills assessment), Germany (experience route for diploma holders or recognition), Austria (welders on the 2026 shortage list, Pre-Check register for Philippine qualifications), Croatia (welders and ship welders exempt from the labour-market test), the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania and Hungary on national permits, Norway for offshore and yard work, the Gulf on employer sponsorship. Flanders admits welders through its regional medium-skilled list; the Netherlands through skilled routes only. The country decides the timeline more than the trade does.
Recruitment runs through our own DMW-licensed agency, Prime Search Manpower Agency Inc. in Makati (licence DMW-027-LB-11182024): your company is accredited at the Migrant Workers Office for the destination, the job order is registered with the DMW, and every worker leaves Manila with a verified contract, medical clearance, pre-departure orientation and an Overseas Employment Certificate. The Philippine ban on direct hiring applies; the employer is always your company, directly.
Everything here is subject to the permit, qualification and licensing requirements of the destination country and the welding codes your contract specifies.
CSWIP and CWI holders work under EN ISO 5817 and 17637 routinely in Gulf projects to European specifications; your contract's authority requirements decide who signs.
Degree-holding welding engineers with IWE experience are available in small numbers; EU Blue Card or national skilled routes apply.
Rare; usually a client or agency role rather than a recruitment one.
