Pressure piping is where welder qualification matters most and where the Philippine supply is deepest: twenty years of Gulf petrochemical shutdowns and EPC projects produced pipe welders who weld a GTAW root in 6G as routine and pipefitters who fabricate from an isometric without being asked twice.
Gulf refineries and petrochemical complexes run shutdowns on Filipino piping crews; EPC contractors across Asia and the Middle East fabricate spools in Filipino-staffed shops; the Philippines' own shipyards and power plants add pipe trades. A Filipino pipe welder with a Gulf record has held ASME IX 6G qualifications on several projects; a pipefitter reads isometrics, calculates take-offs and fits to tolerance. For European work the welders requalify to EN ISO 9606-1 in the relevant positions and materials on arrival; the fitters need the drawing conventions once.
6G coupons to your WPS — carbon steel and stainless as required, GTAW root with SMAW or FCAW fill, or GTAW throughout — with RT or UT and bend tests as you specify; an isometric take-off and spool fabrication exercise for fitters; a fit-up tolerance check. QC candidates are tested on inspection and documentation. Results, films and reports before the interview.
Welders are qualified trades, and almost every country we serve sponsors them: Australia (Welder (First Class) and Metal Fabricator on the Core Skills list, TRA skills assessment), Germany (experience route for diploma holders or recognition), Austria (welders on the 2026 shortage list, Pre-Check register for Philippine qualifications), Croatia (welders and ship welders exempt from the labour-market test), the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania and Hungary on national permits, Norway for offshore and yard work, the Gulf on employer sponsorship. Flanders admits welders through its regional medium-skilled list; the Netherlands through skilled routes only. The country decides the timeline more than the trade does.
Recruitment runs through our own DMW-licensed agency, Prime Search Manpower Agency Inc. in Makati (licence DMW-027-LB-11182024): your company is accredited at the Migrant Workers Office for the destination, the job order is registered with the DMW, and every worker leaves Manila with a verified contract, medical clearance, pre-departure orientation and an Overseas Employment Certificate. The Philippine ban on direct hiring applies; the employer is always your company, directly.
Everything here is subject to the permit, qualification and licensing requirements of the destination country and the welding codes your contract specifies.
Specialist welders exist in smaller numbers from Gulf process plants; brief the material and the test includes it.
Operators with orbital experience come from pharma and semiconductor plants; brief the system.
Europe has no short-term route for third-country crews — a European piping crew is a permanent workforce on skilled-worker permits; the Gulf mobilises in weeks. See the oil & gas hub.
