For most Austrian shortage occupations German is not a condition of the card — but it earns points, it decides productivity, and for care it is mandatory. We organise it in Manila on request, so the language phase overlaps the application instead of following it.
A welder can receive the Rot-Weiß-Rot card without German; on an Austrian shop floor he still needs a safety briefing and a foreman. Language decides how fast a worker becomes productive and how well he stays, and the points system rewards it: A1, A2 and B1 each add to the 55 the card needs. For care roles German is a professional requirement, not a preference.
Candidates selected in a recruitment round enrol in Manila within days: intensive courses with partner schools, Goethe or ÖSD examinations for the certificate Austrian authorities accept, weekly progress reports to you. The phase overlaps with the application and the Philippine exit steps, so it extends the timeline only where the target level takes longer than the paperwork. Everything here is subject to the Fachkräfteverordnung in force, the AMS assessment and Austrian residence and labour law.
