Plumbing occupations are on the Core Skills Occupation List and can be nominated in the Core Skills stream. Plumbing is a licensed trade in every state and territory: a sponsored plumber works under supervision until the local licence is issued, via an Offshore Technical Skills Record through Trades Recognition Australia, a provisional licence and gap training. We plan that supervised period with you before recruiting.
Filipino plumbers and pipefitters have long histories on Gulf commercial and industrial projects; TESDA Plumbing NC II is the standard pathway.
Pipework installation and pressure-test tasks, drawing reading and material identification at Prime Search's Makati facilities; gasfitting and fire-protection specialisations are screened separately. Everything here is subject to applicable Australian skills assessment, licensing, occupation and visa requirements.
Plumber is not on the mandatory pre-visa skills-assessment list for Philippine passport holders under the current instrument; the Offshore Technical Skills Record for state licensing is a separate TRA process and is required. We confirm the current position for your nomination.
Plumber (General) for most roles; Drainer, Gasfitter, Roof Plumber or Fire Protection Plumber where the work is specialised. All are on the Core Skills list.
Supervised, yes; unsupervised licensed work needs the state licence.
